چکیده

Abstract Garber Schlag (Q-GS) is one of the major springs Karwendel Mountains, Tyrol, Austria. This spring has a unique runoff pattern that mainly controlled by tectonic setting. The main aquifer moderately karstified and jointed limestone Wetterstein Formation underlain nonkarstified Reifling Formation, which acts as an aquitard. aquitard catchment Q-GS form large anticline bound fault (aquitard) to north. Discharge this shows strong seasonal variations with three recharge origins, based on ? 18 O electrical conductivity values. A clear trend observed, caused continuously changing portions water derived from snowmelt, rainfall groundwater. At onset snowmelt period in May, discharge composed During maximum period, dominantly subordinately rainfall. July August, decreases increases. September October, released at groundwater distinct plateau August December following recession until March likely related regional body fissured structures (anticline, fault). Only small portion permafrost.

Biodiversity of Klebsormidium (Streptophyta) from alpine biological soil crusts (Alps, Tyrol, Austria, and Italy)

Forty Klebsormidium strains isolated from soil crusts of mountain regions (Alps, 600–3,000 m elevation) were analyzed. The molecular phylogeny (internal transcribed spacer rDNA sequences) showed that these strains belong to clades B/C, D, E, and F. Seven main (K. flaccidum, K. elegans, K. crenulatum, K. dissectum, K. nitens, K. subtile, and K. fluitans) and four transitional morphotypes (K. cf....

Neogyroporella? gawlicki n.sp., a New Dasycladale from the Upper Jurassic–Lower Cretaceous “Lärchberg Formation” of the Northern Calcareous Alps, Austria

The Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous shallow water platform carbonates of the Northern Calcareous Alps (Plassen Formation, “Lärchberg Formation”) and the resedimented deposits of the latter within basinal series (Barmstein Limestone, Tressenstein Limestone) are currently under re-investigation (SCHLAGINTWEIT et al., 2003; GAWLICK et al., 2005). This shallow water development is directly linke...

The high alpine bee fauna (Hymenoptera: Apoidea) of the Zillertal Alps, Austria

Bees from the Zemmgrund area in the Zillertal Alps (Austria, Tyrol) were collected and determined to investigate the species composition of the area. A total of 61 specimens were collected over a two year period; they represent 24 species from 8 genera. Building on these records, the first commented checklist for the area is presented, with notes on habitats and visited flowers.

Diversity of silica-scaled chrysophytes in high-altitude Alpine sites (North Tyrol, Austria) including a description of Mallomonas pechlaneri sp. nov

To expand on the biodiversity study of the eastern Alpine region of North Tyrol, we investigated silica-scaled chrysophyte flora of unexplored high-altitude Alpine sites. We concentrated mostly on lakes that were 1000-2500 m above sea level; some of them were still partly ice covered. Overall, 27 taxa were recorded at 12 sites, despite 21 sites being sampled altogether. In general, the sites we...

Estimating Height runoff by using curve number method and Arc- CN Runoff tool in Afjeh Catchment

In Iran, there is a general risk of runoff and flood, and since this country has a dry to semi-arid climate, its predominant rainfall is not evenly distributed in terms of time and place. Routine runoff at the earth's surface can lead to risks such as groundwater abatement, social issues such as population migration, erosion and loss of soil fertility, sedimentation in reservoirs and water q...
